The Basic Way To Lose Weight

There are sooo many diets and crazy ideas about how to lose weight, but in my opinion losing weight boils down to a few pretty simple things. By simple I don't mean that they are necessarily easy to follow, but the "rules" themselves are pretty simple.

The basic and highly important rule is this:

You need to burn more calories than you eat. If you do that every day, you will lose weight.

Everything else is just steps to make that happen.

How To Lose Weight

  1. Get up and move. Do cardio (for example: walk, run, get on your bicycle, dance), do strength training, do whatever you want, but move your body, the more the better.

  2. Eat more healthy food and an overall more well-balanced diet. You probably already know what you ought to eat more of and what you ought to stay away from. Don't overeat anything, especially not the most unhealthy things.

  3. Give it time. It took time to build that body of yours and it will take time to lose weight. Think long-term and don't see these changes as something temporarily, instead aim to find a lifestyle that will keep you healthy in the long run.

  4. Make your health a priority and take responsibility for both your weight and health.

  5. And now the most important point of them all: Stick to all the points above! Keep moving, keep eating healthy, think long-term and change your way of life and assume full responsibility.

The best part is that all of this will be as fun as you make it. The power is in your hands, and your hands only, you have the choice of making this a fun and life changing experience.

Make it a priority and focus on it and you will succeed.
