What Are You?

How do you define yourself? What are you? What labels have you given yourself?

Are you a carpenter a, gardener, programmer, cop, factory worker, farmer, secretary, car washer, salesman, manager, [some other job title]?

Are you lazy, crazy, tired, cool, shy, introvert, extrovert, unhelpful, selfish, depressed, disliked, alone, unloved, [some other attribute that you've associated with yourself]?

Remember that however you define yourself can and probably will put limits on what you accomplish. Your own thoughts about what you are or are not, will in many cases hold you back. You aren't what you do, unless you choose to think you are. You aren't what you think you are, unless you choose to be.

Instead of living up to the labels you and others have already given you, select new labels, labels that you want and then live into those. Don't just be what you've been used to think you are, choose what you want to be, how you want to be, and begin to live up to that instead.

Most limits you think you have is not real limits, they are just made up limits that you believe yourself to have. They are thoughts, not limits. As sure as different thoughts create different feelings, different thoughts make you take different actions, if you don't like your current actions then choose new thoughts.

You can be more or less whatever you choose to be. You can act and behave in almost anyway you want. The choice is yours. It doesn't matter what other people think and say about you, but it is really important what you choose to think and say about yourself.
