Stop Taking Life for Granted

This quote fits today's post perfectly:

"The fact that we normally take life for granted, when it is actually so utterly mysterious, shows how unconscious we usually are." -Timothy Freke

Our lives is so full of habits that sometimes our lives is more or less run almost completely on autopilot, which is both good and bad. The bad part is that it's so easy to get caught up in the speed of life and just run through day after day, but to really enjoy life we've got to catch our breath once in a while and just be.

Today's recommended action:

Every now and then during the day, stop yourself in the middle of whatever you are doing, then refocus your senses and awareness, slow down your breath and really focus on the thing you are doing.

For example: Wash your dishes while being mindfull. Eat your food and really taste and chew every peace of it slowly. When you hug someone really feel it and smell them. When you listen to your kids, really listen to them. When you take a walk really look at your surroundings, look at colors, shapes, people and so on.

Practice being in the now! Practice feeling alive!
